Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Search boxes on this site are run by outside providers. A name or date of birth entered there is sent to the provider for processing and results; we do not keep or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain messages sent by email so our team can respond. We do not disclose them beyond our organization unless the law requires us to do so.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, our servers may record technical information about the visit, including:
- The referring site, when one is provided
- Page-view times and the pages visited, including time spent
- Your device’s IP address
- The browser name and version in use
- Device category and operating system
Cookies and Analytics
Small cookie files stored on your device help us understand how visitors move through the site, such as which pages draw traffic or where visits end. Analytics providers aggregate this activity. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Understand which pages visitors use and where improvements are needed
- Maintain site operation and page speed
- Route search entries to the provider that operates the tool
- Diagnose and repair technical problems
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Warrant Data on File
We do not keep, assemble, maintain, or sell a database of Indiana warrants or personal warrant histories. This site provides general guidance about local courts and sheriff offices; MyCase is a public court-case portal rather than a warrant search, and IDACS/NCIC access is reserved for authorized criminal-justice users. Indiana has no public search for every active arrest warrant statewide. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party records.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted through one is governed by that provider’s privacy policy, including its retention and disclosure practices. Since we do not control those practices, read the partner’s policy before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to court portals, Indiana agency pages, county sheriff resources, legal aid organizations, or commercial search tools. Once you leave our site, the destination’s privacy terms govern; review them before providing personal information.
Some advertising partners use their own systems to follow activity across websites for targeted ads. We do not operate that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. It may be handled by:
- Government or law-enforcement authorities when a valid legal order requires disclosure
- Analytics vendors that measure traffic and site performance
- Advertising networks whose ads appear on our pages
- Search providers processing a query entered into their tools
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used to protect the information we collect. No internet-connected service can promise perfect security, so we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
Our site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal details from anyone younger than 18. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Indiana public agency records are governed by the Indiana Access to Public Records Act (APRA), Ind. Code ch. 5-14-3. Court files follow the Indiana Rules on Access to Court Records: Rule 4 states the general public-access baseline, while Rule 5 lists exclusions. These access laws address government and court records, not information held by this private website. You may still ask us to:
- Provide a copy of information we hold about you
- Correct data that is inaccurate
- Delete information we have collected
- Opt you out of certain processing practices
